The Pacte Industrial wishes to make a contribution to encouraging the relationship between the research and production systems in order to favour the development of the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona’s innovation culture.

The main activities promoted by the Pacte Industrial in this area are:

The Digital City

The study analyses economic and social changes and their effects, as a result of the revolution arising from the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) industry, both from the conceptual point view and by means of examples of the changes produced in different parts of the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona that have incorporated ITC into their transformation strategies.

Notebook number 3 of the Pacte Industrial: “Indicadors, infraestructures i serveis d’Innovació”

The study, carried out with the collaboration and sponsorship of CIDEM, analyses the situation of the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona as regards the main indicators on the subject of innovation, and it studies, as a whole, the range of infrastructure and services available in this field.

This first analysis of the existing infrastructure allows the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona’s situation to be compared, for the first time, with other areas at a European level. Furthermore, it allows the agents and institutions that are working in the area of innovation in the Metropolitan Region to be identified, with names and surnames.

Directory of the totality of public and private initiatives and also university initiatives aimed at promoting innovation in the metropolitan territory as a whole. With this dynamic Innovation map it is possible to identify all the initiatives in the Region aimed at promoting economic activity and innovation, at the same time as giving detailed information about the activities carried out. With this goal in mind, around 200 initiatives have been identified.

Directory of the research groups that carry out their activity within the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona, making it possible to carry out a search based on the following criteria: activity, institution, list of researchers or Unesco knowledge area codes.
